Trustee Opportunity – Legal Expertise Sought

Join the ITP Support Association and Help Shape Our Future

The ITP Support Association, a national charity supporting patients and family members of those affected by Immune Thrombocytopenia (ITP), is seeking a new trustee with a legal background to join our Board.

As we continue to grow and develop our work, we are looking for someone with legal expertise to help guide our governance, ensure compliance, and provide strategic oversight on matters such as charity law, contracts, and risk management.

This is a rewarding opportunity to use your professional skills to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those affected by a rare autoimmune condition.

We are looking for someone who:

•           Has a background in law (e.g. solicitor, legal advisor, in-house counsel)

•           Is committed to good governance and the principles of charity law

•           Can offer clear and pragmatic legal guidance to the Board and leadership team

•           Has an interest in health-related or patient-focused causes (experience with ITP is a bonus but not essential)

As a trustee, you will:

•           Attend quarterly Board meetings (remote/hybrid options available)

•           Help shape the charities future and ensure legal compliance

•           Support the charity’s leadership with legal and governance matters

Previous trustee experience is not required—training and induction will be provided. What’s most important is your willingness to contribute your expertise for the benefit of the ITP community.
