Matt Charman – London Marathon

After 4 months of hard work & training, the London Marathon was a brilliant event to be a part of. The crowds were amazing. Just over halfway I picked up a knee injury but managed to continue to finish it at 5 hours, 11 minutes. It wasn’t the time I wanted but I’m really proud to have finished. After my diagnosis I struggled with getting up and down the stairs and never thought I’d be able to run a 5km let alone a marathon. I’m glad to have been able to raise some awareness and £747 for the charity. It shows that someone with ITP can live a normal life and even run a marathon.
