ITP Support Association Scholarship – 2023 Recipients

We are proud to announce the successful recipients of the 2023 ITP Support Association Academic Scholarship Awards.

Congratulations to Lauren Wooldridge – £1,500 Recipient

After being diagnosed with ITP around a year and a half ago, partway through the first year of college, I was left feeling confused, anxious, and unsure about what my life would be like from then onwards. As I was 17 at the time, doctors were unsure whether my ITP would be acute, like most childhood cases, or chronic, like most adulthood cases, so I was not prepared for the many challenges in the form of countless hospital visits and failing treatments that would follow. Congratulations to Luke O’Neill – £750 Recipient

My son Luke who is 17, has just been diagnosed in the last month with ITP. It is a condition that we had never heard of and it came as a big shock to us. Luke has not had an easy road so far but through everything he has remained positive and looked forward. Luke is on the autism spectrum and suffers with severe anxiety. He has always struggled with school even though he loves to learn. Luke is currently looking at suitable courses to continue his education.
